When it comes to the exterior, the change is limited to the removing of the Pepperdust Metallic color. Then, there are new finishes for 22-inch Gloss Black aluminum wheels and 22-inch Bright machined aluminum wheels. For the packages, there will be LT Signature and All-Season package for the new 2020 Tahoe.
Since there is no change in the other parts of this car, it can be concluded that the powertrain will remain the same. The 2020 Tahoe will come with a 5.3L V8 engine which is able to generate 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of power torque. This configuration will be supported by six-speed automated gear.
On the other hand, the version which comes with a 6.2L V8 engine will offer 10-speed automated gear and produce 420 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque. Then, the fuel delivery for both versions is the same. It will be direct injection with active fuel management.
Just like other fourth-generation units of the current Tahoe, the new 2020 Chevy Tahoe will be based on the GM K2 platform. This platform is also used by 2020 GMC Yukon, 2020 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2020 Cadillac Escalade. This is the same standard architecture employed on 2014-2018 Chevy Silverado 1500.
