New Honda Jazz 2020 or also known as Honda Fit in some markets is expected to arrive on the market. Honda is now testing an all-new Jazz which is going to be a next-generation subcompact hatchback. This will be the fourth generation for the model and it seems like the design will be sportier.
The camouflaged prototype has been spied and the result reveals quite many about the upcoming car. Since the updated version of the existing model only came out last year, this upcoming Jazz may be unveiled in early 2020 or later. Aside from the new design, its powertrain may get some change too.
There have been some spied shots published on the internet. At a glance, the prototype looks similar to the one spotted last year. But, if we take a look at the front closely, we’ll see that the headlights are actual production items. Read on to learn further about this new Jazz.
New Crosstar Variant Unveiled
Honda Jazz 2020 comes in 2 variants, the Standard model and the Jazz with a slight touch of SUV, Honda Jazz Crosstar. Available with the same hybrid powertrain and interior features as the standard model, this new one features increased ride height, a unique front grille design, water-resistant upholstery & integrated roof rails.
New Honda Jazz Exterior, Interior, and Drivetrain
In spite of the camouflage, we can actually notice that the new Jazz is going to be a reasonably aggressive front end. It might be not as aggressive as the current Civic, but it’s going to have a few stout corner intakes. Then, what’s new in exterior, interior, and also drivetrain?
-
Exterior
Well, full camouflage veils the body of this new Jazz prototype. But, we can say that the grille seems to be wider and the headlights appear to be slightly smaller. Compared to the existing model, it has a different front quarter light. It also looks taller than the previous one.
-
Interior
Inside, the New Honda Jazz may get some advanced changes. But, we basically don’t have any idea how the interior is going to appear like. If we consider the recent Honda models, it’s safe to say that the new Jazz will receive a digital gauge cluster as well as a floating tablet-like infotainment screen.
-
Drivetrain
Under the hood, it’s not impossible that the new Jazz will offer a full-electric model. Aside from this rumor, it’s also said that there will be a hybrid version which shares its drivetrain to complement the gasoline engines. Or it may come with a 100-hp 1.3L engine.
New Honda Jazz 2020 Release Date and Prices
Considering that there are not many major changes and upgrades, the pricing should stay pretty much the same. The all-electric and hybrid models will surely come with a price. But in the base trim, we expect that the new Jazz probably won’t cost more than $17,000.
For the release date, we may still need to wait until the official statement. If you can’t wait for the upcoming Jazz, you can change your target to the current 2019 Jazz which is now available starting at $16,190. Lease deals are also available for this model.
You can lease the 2019 Honda Jazz with estimated monthly payment starting at $171 for the LX trim. This lease is for 36 months. You can explore other lease deals available since different exact features will make a distinctive price. In conclusion, the new Honda Jazz is a worth-waiting vehicle on the market.
