The new 38.3 kWh battery is going to replace the old 28 kWh unit. This means that we can expect a longer driving range. According to the manufacturer, the Ioniq Electric is now able to travel for 183 miles or 294 km on a single charge.

Not only the battery, but the onboard charger is also upgraded. The current 6.6-kW Type 2 AC charger is going to be replaced with a new 7.2-kW onboard charger. And it will employ a 100-kW fast-charging station, making it able to reach 80 percent in less than 54 minutes.
