2020 Chevy Bolt Review, Affordable & Great Driving Range
2020 Chevy Bolt is expected to offer something better than its predecessor. It is claimed to go further on a charge than before. It is reported that this electric hatchback can go up to 259 miles. The manufacturer said that this improvement is because of the change to the cell electrodes’ chemistry in the battery.
Meanwhile, the upgraded battery pack will remain the same in case of the physical size. It is also packaged in the same way as the previous model. The difference would be on its energy capacity that goes up from 60.00-kWh to 66.0-kWh. Then, what else’s?
There is no other major update aside from the upgraded lithium-ion battery. But, you may expect several changes in features and color options. The new 2020 Bolt will offer some new colors including Cayenne Orange Metallic and Oasis Blue. On the other hand, the bright-yellow Shock color has been removed from the list.
2020 Chevy Bolt Review and Changes
As mentioned above, there is no significant change aside from the battery. The powertrain remains the same. It means that we could find the same 200-horsepower electric engine unit in this car. Then, the engine will be paired with a 1-speed direct drive transmission to deliver power through a front-wheel-drive system.
Furthermore, the new Bolt will offer in the same two trim levels as well including LT and Premier. With the LT variant, you can expect 17-inch allow wheels, LED daytime running lights, automatic xenon headlights, heated mirrors, keyless entry, and remote start. Inside, you can enjoy cloth upholstery and automatic climate control.
With the Premier variant of 2020 Chevy Bolt, you can get everything offered in the previous version. But, you can enjoy more features including extra ambient lights, leather seats, roof rails, a top-down parking camera system, a center rear armrest, and heated rear seats. We can say that this car offers a bunch of great packages. For example, there is an option for DC fast-charging ability to both trim levels. This feature allows the Bolt to employ SAE Combo 400-volt Level 3 charge stations which can recharge the battery to 80 percent in less than an hour.
